Jeffrey Campbell Showpony: THAT shoe!

—Anjelica Lorenz of Mode Junkie

Jacket, trousers and blouse - H&M
Sometimes it's really only about the shoe.

When I dress up, I usually build the outfit around a certain piece—an outstanding piece. When I received the Jeffrey Campbell SHOWPONY, I knew that they were gonna be that piece.

The details blow my mind. Distressed leather gives the boots an awesome vintage feel as if they've already been used a hundred times over, and I love the rad loafer trim. I quickly thought of a theme! LONDON PREPPY. ;) Perfect, right?

Vintage bag with the Jeffrey Campbell Showpony

At first the two-tone boots made me hesitant. I thought they would be too difficult to dress. As I was picking out the outfit, I realized they go really well with everything, even with girly, floral skirts and dresses.

My vintage teacher's bag and blue schoolboy blazer completed the look! The boy even told me that if the Sartorialist was in town, he would have definitely taken a photo of me! Awww. (Yeah, dream on!) Who knew the boy knows of the Sartorialist? Don't ask me; I am amazed too!

I don't know about you but these shoes are pretty fall/winter—perfect in my book!

[Customer Review] From Riziki NYC

My name is Riziki, I am an accountant.
I love shoes, I love elegant shoes, I love stylish shoes; and above all, they have to be comfy enough to walk in them. I do not like carrying a second pair of shoes in my bag. Le Bunny Bleu/Askomi shoes are just as stylish as they are comfortable; you do not have to trade one quality for another. And best of all, they are affordable. I own a pair and I love them.

Sean Connery Shakes Up Louis Vuitton

It seems famed photog Annie Leibovitz can lure just about any celeb with her lens.

The original James Bond once said he'll never appear in another film but he stepped in front of the camera for the latest installation of the Louis Vuitton "Core Values" ad campaign. The 78-year-old icon posed on a dock in the Bahamas sporting casual duds and a Bermuda hat, and lounging beside a waterproof L.V. Keepall bag. The photo was shot near Connery's Bahamas residence. Not bad.

He looks pretty damned good, too. And apparently, the image was the result of a test shoot so Connery hadn't even hit the hair and makeup chair.

The "Core Values" campaign has featured other legendary figures like Keith Richards, Catherine Deneuve, and Francis Ford Coppola. The new ad is set to hit publications later this month.

Gucci movie in the works

Ridley Scott, who helmed "American Gangster" and "Gladiator," is set to produce and direct a biopic based on the Gucci family dynasty. Women's Wear Daily says the big-budget flick will focus on the meteoric rise and near fall of the Italian fashion empire in the 1970s and '80s. The plot will revolve around the late Maurizio Gucci and his nasty battle with his cousins to protect his 50 percent stake in the business. It's also expected to include the scandalous murder attempt on Maurizio by his wife, Patrizia Reggiani, who's now in the slammer for hiring a hit man to try blowing him away.

Lindsay and Louis Vuitton: the end of an affair

From today's New York Post:

"Lindsay Lohan, who vanished after her arrest 10 days ago and is said to be confined at a California rehab - possibly the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage - was once in the running to be the new face of Louis Vuitton. But after a disastrous Elle magazine shoot two months ago, the luxury line will no longer even lend her clothes. 'Louis Vuitton had sent over some samples for her to wear in the shoot,' said a snitch. 'Lindsay kept shoving clothes into her bag, and a stylist's assistant kept getting them out of the bag, only to have Lindsay keep trying to take them. She ended up walking off with a very expensive shirt and some other items - which screwed Louis Vuitton because they were set to go to Vogue, W and Harper's Bazaar for other shoots. They were furious and kept trying to get their clothes back, but...Lindsay walked out with them and never returned calls.' The issue hits stands today, in which she's asked about the photo shoot and replies, 'I wanted everything. There was this Cartier watch, and I was like, 'What do I have to do to get this watch?' Reps for Louis Vuitton, Elle and Lohan didn't return calls."

Posh shows her diva side

Rumors are rampant that there was trouble behind the seams of Victoria Beckham's new denim line, dVb. The Spice Girl alum spoke few words to the press at last Thursday's grand unveiling at Saks last Thursday, saying the new jeans were "wonderful" and she was "so excited" to be involved. Beckham was no joy to work with, according to insiders. "The partnership with Rock & Republic was terminated," said an insider close to the label. "Victoria was horrible to work with - indecisive and inconsistent and generally not present at all. She attached her name to it but didn't want to do any of the work - unless she was promoting the line in front of the cameras, of course."

Audrey Tautou to play Coco Chanel

French actress Audrey Tautou will play Coco Chanel in an upcoming biopic about the designer. The $15 million film was conceived with Tautou in mind. "[The producer] said she would only make a film about Chanel is Audrey was the lead," says an insider. "They met and both liked the idea." The script, will focuses on the legendary designer's childhood and early adult years, was adapted from the Chanel biography L'Irreguliere, and production is slated to begin early next year. "It isn't really a biopic because it is about Chanel before she became famous - it is about the events and people that shaped her," said the insider. Chanel was born into poverty and learned to sew in a Catholic orphanage after her mother died and she was abandoned by her father. As a young woman, Chanel had dreams of becoming a singer and first acquired the nickname Coco while singing "Who's Seen Coco in the Trocadero" in a cabaret.

Bundchen is "negotiating a lingerie line" with retailer H&M, according to a source. "Gisele has been in talks with H&M for a long time, but for legal issues she has to wait for her Victoria's Secret contract to end to start the project." Bundchen's reps have not commented.
