And The Axe Goes To -
Sadness this week as NBC's Lipstick Jungle has been canceled! I hate to say goodbye to Victory, Nico, and Wendy. Only in its sophomore year, the show has taken us through death, adultery, heartbreak, date nights in NYC's hotspots, many a laugh and a steamy scene, and a slight familiar resemblance to Sex and the City. Goodbye girls, you will be missed!Tuesday, September 23, 2008

These Are A Few Of My Favorite Scenes
The weekend dedicated to SATC continues as I bring you my favorite Carrie Bradshaw moments:

This last dress that SJP wore during Carrie's cleaning-out-closet extravaganza is the same one she wore in the opening credits of the show! How clever!
I agree with the girls, it def. belongs in the take pile.

May 30th Is Here!
Today is finally the day to "get carried away." I just did and what a ride it was! A very emotional rollercoaster I must say! No spoilers for those out there who haven't seen it yet, but oh so exciting and oh so fabulous! Right now I'm thinking my weekend might include seeing it over and over again. And no, I'm really not kidding!Photo Credit: Google

Welcome Home Girls!
Last night's HUGE event brought out NYC's favorite girls to Radio City for the highly-anticipated SATC premiere. Along with some of NYC's own, many a fan and not to mention the rain, Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha returned home to an amazing reception and an outpouring of love.

With a front-row on-the-pink-carpet view, I witnessed everything from the flash that was Ashley Olsen and Jennifer Hudson's short bob (she was even being touched up on the carpet in-between interviews!) to SJP's GORGEOUS dress (she said she thought it looked like the Empire State building, how NYC of you Carrie Bradshaw!) and Patricia Field's radiant hair and personality. Lynn Cohen, who plays Magda, was adorable and even commented on the girl power of our fabulous video slash interview team! Jason Lewis was whisked by as he walked into the venue, but did look back to smile, so don't worry Smith, I forgive you. The Donald stopped for a brief moment as did Cynthia Nixon, Willie Garson, (who just adopted a son, aw!) Donna Karan, Fergie and Idina Menzel. The mob scene that was NYC last night once again showed how excited this city is for their SATC!

After the premiere, we were able to get a sneak preview of the after-party held at the MoMA. With the Swarovski-crystal couch, the trees wrapped in pink lights, bouquets of flowers, the music (deejayed by Samantha Ronson, and no Lindsay was not there), the appetizers and a sample of the "Carried Away" cosmo, the scene was more than glamourous!

More deets to come!

Style It: Shoes and the City -- Charlotte
Cosabella lingerie has issued the official undergarments for the new Sex and the City movie and our good friends over at Isabella Fine Lingerie are stocking them. Each week, we will show another lingerie collection and have you style it. All comments with links to shoes in our catalog will be entered to win a personal, 20% discount! Last week we accessorized the Miranda. This week we turn our eye to the feminine Charlotte!
The collection is a blend of girly femininity and casual, elegant sexuality. Eternally optimistic, light and comfortable, the Charlotte collection is made from a blend of ultra-soft modal and eco-friendly bamboo fiber.
We chose to match this with shoes that were eternally stylish without sacrificing comfort or falling victim to trends.
We chose shoes by Progetto, Enzo Angiolini, Caparros and Poetic Licence.
And now we want to know how you would style it. Take a look below, read up on the rules and start styling, you maven you!
The rules: Find a shoe in our online store that best compliments the Charlotte collection. Link to it in the comments of this post and describe why you chose what you chose. Style-a-thon ends Saturday, 31 May at midnight; we'll post the winning pairing the following week. Winner gets a private code for 20% off their next online purchase at Lori's. Happy styling!

Style It: Shoes and the City -- Miranda
As you all know, Cosabella lingerie has issued the official undergarments for the new Sex and the City movie and our good friends over at Isabella Fine Lingerie are stocking them. Each week, we will show another lingerie collection and have you style it. All comments with links to shoes in our catalog will be entered to win a personal, 20% discount! We started last week with the Samantha. This week we turn our eye to the willowly Miranda!
The collection is a blend of cosmopolitan confidence with a hidden soft side. Made of tulle with a contrasting scalloped lace trim, it's sexy under careerwear and killer in more intimate settings.
We chose shoes by Jeffrey Campbell, Calvin Klein, Gastone Lucioli and Seychelles that have professional leanings with a bit of glam and after-hours fun thrown in.
And now we want to know how you would style it. Take a look below, read up on the rules and start styling, you maven you!

SATC Premieres
Sex and the City: The Movie premiered today in London and all four girls looked gorgeous!
I LOVE LOVE SJP, but I'm kinda curious about what seems to be growing on the top of her head. I can't yet decide if I love the Carrie-esque look, or if it might be a tad bit too crazy...
Actually, I think I just made up my mind. I love it! That girl can wear anything, in character or not, and I'll always be amazed!
And a little fyi, SJP reportedly has 81 costume changes in the movie! That deserves an OMG for sure!
May 30th is just around the corner, can't wait!

Style It: Shoes and the City -- Samantha
Cosabella lingerie has issued the official undergarments for the new Sex and the City movie and our good friends over at Isabella Fine Lingerie are stocking them. Of course, we immediately set out to pair shoes to each. We're starting with the Samantha, described in the official literature as "designed in French Chantilly style lace with fine, micro-dot mesh."
So we chose some shoes that represented Samantha's confident sexuality -- womanly and worldy, aggressive, yet coy, with the faintest touch of feminine frills.
And now we want to know how you would style it. Take a look below, read up on the rules and start styling, you maven you!
The rules: Find a shoe in our online store that best compliments the Samantha collection. Link to it in the comments of this post and describe why you chose what you chose. Also, check out Fab Sugar's Who Wore It Better contest on the Balenciaga Blue and Green Gladiator Sandal, referencing Sex and the City and Sarah Jessica Parker.
UPDATE (05-19-08): We have a winner! We've picked Diana's red strappy number by Kenneth Cole as a perfect compliment to the sultry Samantha collection. We like the bold sass of these heels and the caged ankle. Mee-ow!
